Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously worked in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki worked as an CNN political contributor between 2017 and 2020. Psaki started her career in 2001 by working on the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was then appointed press secretary in John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was in office from 2005 until 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was named press secretary for President Obama's 2012 presidential election campaign. [20] Psaki was named the spokesperson of the United States Department of State. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she could replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House. However on May 30 in 2014 it was announced Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was appointed communications director in the White House and continued to perform this role until the end in 2015.
