Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965 was an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is most famous for portraying the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. Following the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended August 13th, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was with English descent. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and says she is a member of Passover seders.
